GUJARAT VIDHYAPITH was founded by Mahatma Gandhi in 1920. It has been a deemed university since 1963. It is located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Gujarat Vidyapith is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) for higher education programs. GVP is located on the Ashram road, Ahmedabad. GVP has been approved by AICTE. It was started as Rashtriya Vidyapith (National Institute of University Education) and was the wake of the Non-cooperative Movement. GVP has been accredited by NAAC.

Gujarat Vidyapith 2021 admisson is a UGC recognized deemed University The institution offers UG programs like B.A., B.Sc., B.Ed., BPES, B.P.Ed., and B.Lib.I.Sc. The PG programs include M.A., M.Ed., M.P.Ed., M.Lib.I.Sc., MSW, M.Sc., MCA, and MBA. The University also offers courses like M.Phil, Ph.D., PGD and Certificate programs. Most of the UG programs are of three years duration. The B.Ed. the course is of two years duration and the B.P.Ed. & B.Lib.I.Sc. are of one-year duration. The PG programs are of two years duration except for MCA and M.Lib.I.Sc. The MCA program takes three years to complete and the M.Lib.I.Sc. takes only one year to complete.
