Nirma University (NU) is the first established in Gujarat and is located in Ahmedabad. It was established in 2003 under the leadership of renowned industrialist and philanthropist Dr. Karsanbhai K Patel, who is the founder of the Nirma Group of Industries and Nirma Education and Research Foundation (NERF). It is one of the most prominent names among educational institutions in the western hemisphere of our country. NU offers UG and PG courses for many different fields of study like Engineering, Management, Architecture, Pharmacy, Design, Law, Commerce, and other sciences. The Government of Gujarat has given Nirma University a five-star rating with an overall CGPA of 4.20 in the Gujarat State Institutional Rating Framework (GSIRF) 2021. Currently, the Ahmedabad campus hosts the Institute of Technology, Institute of Management, Institute of Pharmacy, and the Institute of Science.

70% weightage to the PG CLAT and 30% for Work Experience, Statement of Purpose, and Publications. Non-PG CLAT candidates have to appear in PG ILNU Entrance Exam.

NU has a robust scholarship and financial aid program wherein, students of UG, PG, and Doctoral students are provided loads of options to choose from
UG students have the option to choose from an option from the 5 scholarship options provided:
Merit Scholarship, Merit-cum-Means, Interest-Free Loan, Alumni Funded Scholarship, and Earn While You Learn.
PG students are offered financial support by way of a monthly stipend based on merit. The first nine GATE-qualified students are to get Rs 12.4K per month and all remaining students get Rs 5K per month. Such students are assigned an academic load limited to eight hours per week as decided by the department.
Doctoral Students have an option where the full-time doctoral scholar is given Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) for the first two years and Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) for the third year as per the UGC norms. The fellows are expected to put in 8 hours per week for academic work assigned by the department.

There are 3 separate buildings which can be accessed by postgraduate students. 2 of them are for boys and 1 of them is for girls. The rooms are spacious and well-furnished. The hostels have sports and other recreational facilities such as cable TV, a common room for interaction, etc. All hostel rooms have Internet connectivity round the clock.
