Kamdhenu University is a state university located at Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India. It offers programs at undergraduate, postgraduate and diploma levels in the field of veterinary sciences, animal husbandry, and dairy. • For BTech programme, candidates are selected on the basis of marks scored in the GUJCET entrance examination conducted by Gujarat State Government
• Admission to the MTech, M.V.Sc and M.F.Sc is based on the marks scored in the last qualifying exam (graduation)
• Candidates for Diploma programme are selected on the basis of marks obtained in Class 12

Kamdhenu University tends to be bridge between industry and Institutes to narrow gap in the interest of students training and placement. The objectives of Student Counselling and Placement Cell is to maintain data base of the students of outgoing batches and to maintain the liaison with various employers for conducting campus interview for providing better placement. The Student Counselling Cells and Placement Cells are established at all the colleges/polytechnics of the Kamdhenu University.

University publishes a placement brochure of outgoing students which will be sent to Dairies, Food Industries & prospective employers. Other placement cell activity includes;

The University being a residential one, staying in hostel is compulsory. Therefore, the university has made separate arrangement for boys’ and girls’ hostels on rent at its constituent college and polytechnics. The affiliated institutions are providing hostel facilities. All students residing in the hostel are abide by hostel and canteen regulations/ rules.
