DHIRUBHAI AMBANI INSTITUTE OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY
Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology (DA-IICT), Gandhinagar represents Wave-4 of educational innovation in Gujarat.

The first wave was the nationalist wave and led to Gandhian experiments in education including Nai Talim. The Gujarat Vidyapith established in 1920 was a hybrid model of a University based on Gandhian principles.

The second wave led to the establishment of a whole range of educational institutions in Gujarat, mainly private colleges.

The third wave, an inspired one, was spearheaded by the Industrialist Kasturbhai Lalbhai and the Scientist Vikram Sarabhai and led to the establishment of a network of national institutes of international renown. A whole array of remarkable intellectuals provided the leadership of these Institutes.

It was in Wave 4 when the focus shifted to higher education and private participation. One of the Institutes created during this period is DA-IICT in 2001. It is the only advanced research and teaching Institute named after the Late Dhirubhai Ambani, the founder of Reliance Group.

DA-IICT Admission

DA-IICT admissions are based on the merit list & also the performance of the candidate in the entrance exam. 

For B.Tech programs, admissions are provided based on JEE Mains scores. 

For M.Tech programs, admissions are provided based on GATE score. 

For M.Des, Admissions are CEED score based. 

Admissions to M.Sc and Ph.D. programs are Merit-Based. 

The candidates have to fill up the admission form along with the prescribed fee to proceed with their admission.

How to Apply?

• Firstly, you have to visit the official website of DA-IICT & download the application form.

• After that, you have to fill up the details, along with your passport size photo.

• Then, you have to upload the document and then you can submit the form.

• At the time of submission, you have to pay the prescribed fee of application, otherwise your application will not be considered.

The placement record of this institution has been tremendous. 360 out of 400 has been placed & total 372 students got offer letters as well in the year 2019 which shows the high ratio of placements. The institute has tied up with big brand names like Flipkart, Amazon, Microsoft & all such top notch companies.

DA-IICT Scholarships

There are three types of scholarships offered by DA-IICT.

• Reliance merit scholarship: This scholarship is available for the students who are doing B.Tech or M.Sc.

• DA-IICT merit scholarship: This scholarship is available for the students who are doing B.Tech & whose All India Rank is under 5000.

• DA-IICT merit cum means scholarship: This scholarship is for the 5 students in each semester based on their academic performance & whose family income is not more than 250,000.
