After having successfully contributed to higher education, the Government of Uttarakhand granted its approval to establish IMS Unison University in 2013. IMS Unison University (IUU) is nestled in the hills of Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand. Established in the year 1996, IUU is a non-profit private university recognized by UGC. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses under five schools namely – School of Management, School of Law, School of Mass Communication, School of Hospitality Management and School of Liberal Arts.

• Admission to courses such as BBA, Integrated BBA-MBA, B.Com (Hons), MHM and MA in English is based on merit in the qualifying exam and performance in a personal interview.

• In case of BA, BA (Hons), BHM and MA in Journalism & Mass Communication, along with merit and interview, the institute also considers the entrance test score conducted by itself.

• Securing admission in Integrated BBA.LLB (Hons) and BA.LLB (Hons) is based on merit, CLAT/LSAT score followed by personal interview.

• While admission to LLM depends upon the University Admission Test/CLAT score and PI.

• Candidates are shortlisted for MBA on the basis of performance in Aptitude Test and PI.

• Candidates interested in pursuing Ph.D degree offered by the University must have a valid score in NET/SLET/SET, IUU Admission Test and PI.

• The final selection for all the courses is based on the performance in the Personal Interview round.

As a social responsibility, the University promotes and encourages the youth of Uttarakhand state for higher education by facilitating them with Scholarships. Scholarships by the Social Welfare Department

In addition to the scholarships offered by the University, a student may apply to the scholarship provided by the Social Welfare Department of their respective State. Such Scholarships are disbursed directly to the eligible students by the respective Social Welfare Departments; there shall be no onus on the University for facilitation or liaison with the respective Department.

Scholarship Norms:

• University scholarships are not mattered of right and are granted under the sole prerogative of the University.

• A candidate shall be entitled to only one of the University scholarships based solely on the fulfillment of eligibility.

• The scholarship shall be withdrawn in case a student violates any of the University rules, Ordinances and Policies for Students as laid down in the Admission Booklet. In such cases, the student shall be liable to pay the scholarship amount to the University.

• Any student repeating the first year shall not be entitled to a scholarship.

• In addition to the University scholarships mentioned above, a student may apply to the scholarship provided by the Social Welfare Department of their respective State. However, as such Scholarships are disbursed directly, there shall be no onus on the University to facilitate or liaison with the respective Department.

• The University reserves the right to alter/withdraw the scholarship without any explanation/notice.

• The decision of the Vice-Chancellor on any matter relating to the University Scholarship policy shall be final and is not open to question.

• Scholarship seats are limited.

• Candidates eligible for Scholarships, as above, are required to submit an application form to the Office of the Registrar with all relevant documents within the dates as announced by the University. In the absence of relevant mark sheets, direct admission and scholarship application will not be considered.

• All disputes are subject to Dehradun jurisdiction.
