B.S.Negi Mahila Pravidhik Prashikshan Sansthan was established on 27th june 1987 by Mrs. Shobhana Wahi wife of Honorable col. S.P.Wahi ex chairman ONGC, for which land and buildings were provided by Ongc in their premises . Subsequently one more building and workshop were built for accommodating more courses in the polytechnic for women.
On 5th February 1990 “ONGC Mahila samiti Polytechnic for women” was registerd under “society registration act 1860”.
In 1992 the name of ONGC Mahila Samiti polytechnic for women was changed to “ONGC mahila pravidhik prashikshan sansthan “and subsequently renamed as “B.S.Negi MPPS “ on 20th December2003 on the name of first chairman of ongc.
Admission in diploma courses for polytechnic is made through JEEP (joint entrance examination ) conducted by UBTE Roorkee in the month of May every year. Application forms of JEEP are made available by UBTE Roorkee during the period of January - February at at all polytechnics. Candidates selected in the entrance exam are allotted institutes as well as course of their choice on the basis of the rank attained by them through online counseling.
Direct admissions are done for Management seats. Candidate should contact Sansthan office for admission details.
Fees is uniform for all candidates - JEEP category or Direct Admission category.
SC/ST and OBC students are eligible for Samaj Kalyan Scholarship provided they apear in JEEP exam and if their admission is through counselling.

Economically weak two girls students with merit base academically and must have participated in college activities .
2. Samaj Kalyan Scholarship
This scholarship is given to the students with attested certificate of SC/ST/OBC if admitted through UBTER entrance exam only SC/ST students if admission is done directly . Students also need to provide income certificate of last 6 months in which income should not exceed 2.50 lakhs.
3. AICTE scholarship
AICTE invites application form for scholarship schemes - PRAGATI (for girl child) and SAKSHAM ( for different abled) students of 1st year admitted in academic year 2016-17 is AICTE approved technical institution of diploma and degree level.
