Gyani Inder Singh Institute of Professional Studies is popularly known for being the best in Pharmacy College of Dehradun (UK), established in the year 2004 and managed by Gyani Inder Singh Human Development and Educational Society. It is duly registered under the Society Registration Act 1860, as a Sikh Minority Society. Its members are professionals and highly educated from India and abroad.

The Institute is approved by AICTE, PCI New Delhi and affiliated to Uttarakhand Technical University (UTU), Dehradun, Uttarakhand Board of Technical Education (UBTE), Roorkee, and is pioneer in its class of offering D.Pharm, B.Pharm & M.Pharm courses.

Admission

How to Apply:

Students will be admitted through Central Admission Process (CAP) by Uttarakhand Technical University or Uttarakhand Board of Technical Education, Roorkee.

For Management /Minority Seats:

  • Students can also get admitted through the PHARMACY ENTRANCE TEST conducted by college every year or

  • Students can also directly apply to the college along with their Xerox copy of 12th standard marks sheet and all necessary documents as desired by the University or Board.

Courses Offered:

  • D. Pharm (Diploma in Pharmacy) :

    1. The duration of the course is two years.

  • B. Pharm (Bachelor of Pharmacy) :

    1. The duration of the course is four years.

  • B. Pharm (Bachelor of Pharmacy) Lateral Entry:

    1. The duration of the course is Three years.

  • M. Pharm (Master of Pharmacy) :

    1. Specialization: Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance

    2. The duration of the course is 2 years.

Eligibility Criteria For Getting Admission:

D.Pharm.

  1. Candidate shall have passed 10+2 examination conducted by the respective state/central government authorities recognized as equivalent to 10+2 examination by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology as optional subjects individually.

  2. Any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to any of the above examinations.

B.Pharm.

  1. Candidate shall have passed 10+2 examination conducted by the respective state/central government authorities recognized as equivalent to 10+2 examination by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology as optional subjects individually.

  2. Any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to any of the above examinations.

  3. Provided that a student should complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission to the course.

  4. Provided that there shall be reservation of seats for the students belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and other Backward Classes in accordance with the instructions issued by the Central Government/State Government/Union Territory Administration as the case may be from time to time.

  5. B. Pharm lateral entry (to second year/third semester) - D. Pharm passed from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India under section 12 of the Pharmacy Act.

M.Pharm.

  1. B. Pharm Degree examination of an Indian university established by law in India from an institution approved by Pharmacy Council of India and has scored not less than 55 % of the maximum marks (aggregate of 4 years of B.Pharm.)

  2. For Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes candidates the prescribed percentage of marks will be 50% of the maximum marks (aggregate of four years of B.Pharm) or in accordance with the instructions issued by the Central Government/State Government/Union Territory Administration, as the case may be, from time to time.

  3. Candidates with GPAT score shall be given preference on priority in admission.

Students are provided with spacious twin sharing room, proper mess facility, medical facilities, sports facilities, wifi, by an active safety service through adequate number of security guards followed with CCTV surveillance throughout the hostel premises for boys and girls separately.

Safe and homely set up within the hostel. All the rooms have been designed to provide adequate moving space and ample air and light with all needful facilities, excellent hygienic and well-furnished visiting room. A well dedicated warden is being provided to monitor the day to day management of the hostels.
