The institute has been setup with a vision by Mr. Ravindra Kumar, President & MD of SIMT. He is BE(IIT Roorkee), GMIIIE, FIE, LMIIM and Ex Joint director of SAIL.
The vice president of college is Mr. Abhinav Agarwal. He is renowned Agri-businessman of Kashipur.
The Institute is spread over 23000 sq.m. (6 Acres) land in pollution free lush green environment with eye catching hill view. The campus is full of beautiful lawns and landscape and has gorgeous building. The Institute has a large library, state of art ComputerCentre, core faculty and desirable infrastructure. The Institute also provides transport facility from Ramnagar, Kashipur, Bazpur, Thakurdwara and Jaspur at reasonable charges.

SIMT is located in the picturesque foothills of Kumaun/Nainital region. It is located at 7 km stone on Kashipur-Ramnagar Road. Kashipur, the distance of SIMT is only 80 km from Nainital, 180 km from Haridwar, 230 km from Delhi. It is 32 km from Bazpur, 23 km from Jaspur, 20 km from Thakurdwara, 20 km from Ramnagar and 58 km from Moradabad.

Kashipur is well connected by train with Moradabad, Bazpur, Haldwani, Delhi and other stations. By road Kashipur is well connected by National Highways. Both private and Uttarakhand transport buses run from all important places.

 

Admissions

Admission in the Institute is done after passing the Entrance Examination conducted by Kumaun University/designated Centralized Association. MBA (2years/4 semesters)
Any degree with recognized university with minimum of 50% marks. Admission to the above programme is subject to the guidelines issued from the Government of Uttrakhand and Uttrakhand Technical University time to time.   Click here

Training & Placement

The management of the Institute has been keen on getting every student placed suitably in the Industry. For this purpose, Training and Placement Cell is established. The Training and Placement Cell is headed by a Placement Officer and assisted by dedicated officers. The cell keeps the lisaon with the Industries and its HR managers. The managers are regularly visited to interact with students and give them the feel of real life business situation. The purpose of the Training and Placement cell is to ensure that our students are well equiped to meet the challenges that real life working environment offers. The Training and Placement Cell acts as a bridge between the Industry and Institutions to take up Industrial training, Industrial visits, organizing seminars and other activities. Placement brochures are sent to reputed Industries & Organizations. Students are actively involved in these activities. The Training and Placement Cell organized guest lectures from Industries because no professional education is complete without adequate input from the Industry.
