The Shree Swaminarayan Institute of Technology is located in the city of Gandhinagar in Gujarat. It was set up in 2001 and is managed by the Shree Satsang Shiksha Parishad also known as Gurukul. It envisages a combination of traditional as well as a modern approach of learning which utilizes technology and simultaneously instills values of self-discipline, independence, reflection, curiosity. Shree Satsang Shiksha Parishad's association with the education activities goes back to 25 years and has found a special niche for itself. The trust is successfully managing many primary, secondary, higher secondary schools and colleges throughout Gujarat. The trust is commited to provide quality educational services in various areas with selfless devotion. The institute is managed efficiently by the highly educated saints of Swaminarayan region.

To achieve its goal, the Training & Placement Cell works towards recognizing the core competencies of students. It works through a close knit organization and has a structure which conveys information to the students at the fastest possible rate. A common placement brochure for all branches is published.

Separate hostel facilities are available for boys and girls. Tidy rooms and hygienic facilities make for an ideal stay away from home ambience. The hostels also have a recreation hall, multi-gym facility and provision for a variety of indoor games for the students. Students in the hostels have access to everyday conveniences including telephones and enjoy the luxury of watching a film every weekend. The mess facilities in the hostels are designed to meet international hygiene standards. Steam cookers and sterilised equipment are used to prepare wholesome, healthy food. A mineral water plant is operated within the campus and has a well-maintained RO facility. This water is used for cooking, drinking and is available throughout the campus.
